Eligibility for B.Tech Programs (Duration: 4 years)
Resident Indian or Non-Resident Indian (NRI), holder of PIO or OCI card issued by Government of India are eligible to apply for SRMJEEE (UG).
Note: NRIs, holders of PIO or OCI card issued by Government of India who has not taken the SRMJEEE (UG) must apply under International student category only.
Should have attained the age of 16 + on the 31st July of the calendar year in which the 12th Board examination is to be held (source).
Qualifying Examination:
All B.Tech programmes :
Minimum 50% aggregate in PCM
Passed in Higher secondary examination (10+2 pattern ) or appearing in Higher Secondary examination in the current academic year with Physics, Chemistry and Mathematics as major subjects in regular stream from any state board within India, CBSE, ISCE, Matriculation, or NIOS
B.Tech Biotechnology, B.Tech Biomedical Engineering and B.Tech Genetic Engineering:
Minimum 50% aggregate in PCM / PCB
Eligibility for B.Des. Program (Duration : 4 Years)
A pass in 10+2 or its equivalent in academic stream having a minimum total aggregate of 55%.
Eligibility for B.Arch. Program (Duration: 5 Years)
Candidate must have a pass in 10+2 with 50% aggregate, Mathematics as compulsory subject.

Application to be filled online by visiting https://applications.srmuniv.ac.in/ and the same can be downloaded and sent to us with the DD for Rs.`1100/- drawn in favour of SRMIST, payable at Chennai. This has to reach us before the last date specified. Candidates should write their name and address on the reverse of DD
Cost of Online application form is Rs.1100/-
Cost of Offline application form is Rs.1160/-
Admission Criteria
For majority of the programs, admission is done through National level entrance examination conducted by SRM Institute of Science and Technology (formerly known as SRM University) or authorized /statutory boards or agencies. For few programs, admission is done directly. In addition to the above, the eligibility for admission is subject to fulfilling the requirement of minimum marks in the qualifying examination as well.
Any Candidate qualified in IIT JEE Main will be admitted directly even if the candidate doesn’t take SRMJEEE.

Selection Procedure
| UG Programs
1.Candidates will be invited for counselling session based on the score obtained in SRMJEEE (UG) 2.One or more counselling sessions will be held depending on the vacancy of seats. 3.Candidates can choose their preferred specialization/branch of study in a particular campus based on (a) Merit List based on Score obtained. (b) fulfilling the programme-specific eligibility criteria for a particular campus (c) subject to the availability of seats at that point of time. 4.Upon selection of specialization/branch full tuition fees and other applicable fees have to be paid at the time of counselling 5.Provisional Allotment Letter (PAL) will be issued to confirm the candidate’s admission. |
